Redwoods Rally Volunteers

I'm looking for some volunteers who would like to act as ride leaders during the group rides. Joel and I have a lot on our plates as it is without having to worry about leading rides as well. Given the number of bikes we are expecting, we may go out in a couple groups, so the more volunteers the better. There are three different rides, so let me know if you can lead one or more of them. Even if in two groups, we will all be on the same routes for the day.

You must have a good GPS so you can keep on track. I have all the ride routes including gas and food stops saved in .gpx files (HD Ride Planner) that I can email you. I will also include written instructions for you to study and become familiar with.

If you are interested in helping out, drop me a PM or reply below and we can go from there. We could sure use the help, so don't be shy.... .

I am not 100% sure whether or not I will be attending....:/ I'm about 80% sure, but I have been interviewing with some good companies and I'm hoping to be getting a difference job soon. That being the case, I'm not too sure how much time I would be able to take off. As time gets closer, I will know for sure.

I am more than willing to lead one or multiple rides. I have a Garmin and I am very familiar with how to use it and HD ride planner. I have lead many rides and feel very comfortable doing so.

Like I said, I can't commit 100% to anything quite yet, but I sure hope to make it.

Sure, why not. What's the worst thing that could happen? We end up in Idaho and I could check that State off the travel list?

We will miss the first day but can help out the next couple days. No problem.

LOL....thanks Jared...I appreciate that. Tell Trip I need a pay raise...haha..as he pulled one of my fathers moves on me. When I opened my trap about doing a west coast rally....he put me in charge of it... . What it really means is that my anal retentive penchant for planning (my dad was an engineer) has gotten the best of me. Besides...its a long wet winter here in the NW....what else am I gonna do?

Seriously...I'm getting some help from Joel...and just wish to make sure we have everything in place when the time comes. When riding season gets here...I wanna be riding, not so much planning. The more we can get in place now, the less we have to do later.... :)!

Kris I will try to help out providing I can attend. Like Jared, I have potential work issues. There are some retirements pending at my work location and I might be "Acting" Director or whatever they might need. Not sure at this point but I'm putting in for that week just the same. I have a GPS BTW....

time will tell.

Jared...don't be too impressed, the taxpayers are paying for it. Kris is an overpaid government mucky muck with lots of vacation time but I am sure he does most of the planning while he is on the clock ;)

Kris I can help on Tuesday if needed but I wiill be leaving midway on the Wednesday coast ride so Tuesday is the only full day I will be available.

If I lead a ride we will be going sloooooooooow to enjoy the sites, stay together, keep it safe and to prevent the accordian syndrome. Oh and to allow the other colored bikes to keep up

GPS is on board, HD Ride planner friendly. Oh and here are my salary requirements.......1 ice cold beer at the end of the day!
