Ideas for short 2-3 day rides from Portland?
I was wondering if any of you can recommend asome 2-3 day round trip from the Portland area. I was thinking Crater Lake, Missoula, MT, John Day, Or.
Anymore than 2-3 days total is unlikely for me due to work + family commitments.

Check out this site. It is very comprehensive about rides in Washington/ Oregon with tons of info including video, photos, good places to stop...you name it. Rob is a Gold Wing rider and his site is chock full of great information...  !http://www.robsnet.com/ Cheers....Kris

Definitely Crater Lake, but also add Bend/Sun River, Leavenworth (try to get there for Octoberfest), Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier, Coeur D' Alene, the Olympic National Forest, Hwy 101 North and South bound (if you're gonna do 101 South, call me and I'll see if I can join you for a bit)...I'm sure that there are many more out there as well.
