NW Riders-Missoula Montana??

I posted this on the National Rally forum as well.

Hey Ricky Boy and Kris,

Take a look at Trip's cool map with all the members on it.

Don't know how many are going to the national rally but I was looking at the member map and it looks like a natural place for many of us to meet would be Missoula, Montana. Even if they do not go to the (inter)national rally maybe some would want to take a short ride to Missoula for a night stay to meet others?

Regardless of who/how we meet up on the way I think Missoula would be a good hub destination.

Anyone from anywhere is certainly welcome to come join us but it may add alot of time to their trip to Custer.

What do you think??

That would be great. I have already mapped out a decent route for a three day ride to Custer. There is a Best Western in Missoula we could meet at....

DAY 1
Everett, WA to Missoula, MT... 476 Miles

DAY 2
Missoula, MT. to Billings, MT....338 Miles

DAY 3
Billings, MT to Custer, SD.....347 Miles

Rickyboy.....what are you thinkin'....??

I won't know if I'll be able to attend the National Rally this year or not...hopefully by March or April I'll know what my schedule is. But regardless, a ride to Missoula sounds "do-able". As it gets closer, keep me informed and I'll see what I can do.

Rksaw,

If you go, we can meet me somewhere in Oregon on the way and we could ride up to Missoula to meet up with the rest. Not sure I am going to the National Rally either but either way this allows us to meet some of the other members and still leaves the option going to Custer.

I think meeting in Missoula sounds like a great plan. I've touched base with Rickyboy and he seems on board with that idea. Like you said Greg, that is a good place to link up, not only for us, but with the Canadian contingent that might be coming as well.

Sounds like BigJohn is planning to make the run too. He lives close to me so I'm sure we will team up for the ride. We will have to decide on a hotel/motel in Missoula to meet for the night (Sat. June 13th), but that should be easy enough.

Is it June yet? Now that we have made the commitment, I'm already getting excited. Kind of like planning all those cool fishing trips to Alaska 8 months out...they seem so far off but they are on top of you before you know it!
