If I was loaded and
If there was a dealership in town
I would have a 1600GT in my garage right now
But neither is true. So it's a used vaquero or concours for me

As for breaking in your new bike I would follow Victory's game plan

Not sure which one you looked at but the one I'm looking at is a Garmin Zumo 660 for $299. THat's over a $300 savings

That GT is a sweet machine, but it's out of my range too, at least for awhile. If the Concours had ergos at least as roomy and the RT, it would have been a no brainer, but it's too cramped for me. One thing I do know though, if I ever get another bike, it will have ABS and cruise control.

Same here Dave. I paid a little over $600 for mine a couple of years ago. $299 is unheard of for a new 660. Incredible!

I'll let you do some of the work.

1. Let's first find Victory's web site.

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Victory+Motorcycles

2. Select the link to Victory Motorcycles

Don't forget to click the left mouse button.

3. Next choose the Tour tab along the upper part of the window. Then select the Vision. On my PC it was on the left side of the window that open.

Now take a ten minute break. That was a lot of work.

4. Now that we're rested up, lets continue on our adventure. On the right side of the of the screen, select "Customize"

5. Next click on "Electronics" it's over on the left side of the window that opens.

6. Now you should be seeing pictures of the different electronic items available for the Vision. There's one that looks just like a Garmin Zumo 660. Click on that one.

7. To the left of the photo of the Vision you'll now see a picture of that Garmin Zumo 660. Also, you'll notice that across the top of the picture it will even say Garmin Zumo 660.

8. Click on "Item Detail."

Now you'll have to look around a bit but eventually you'll see the price of $299.98 BINGO!!!

Where does it state that?

That's still a great price and if I were buying a Vision, I'd jump on it. Heck, Harley doesn't discount the HD branded 660 even if you buy a CVO.

its basically a add on if you look it up without adding to the bike it is $849 the only way you get the $299.98 is if you add it to a bike. You are right not a bad price if you are buying a touring bike from them. Unless they charge you for the wiring kit to hook it up I saw the price on it but forgot how much it was.

It's an error. I just bought a Vision and if I could have gotten a 660 for $300, I would have.

I don't know if the Vic ECM can record that or not but I wasn't planning on excessive RPMs. Motoman (whoever he is) suggests 2500-3500 RPMs but NOT to "baby" the bike. Strong accelerations followed by rolling off the throttle and letting the motor slow the bike down. He seems to think that by building up some pressure, it will seal the rings better. I'm not a mechanic (that should be painfully obvious by now) but it makes sense. Or, he could be way off and I'll grenade my very expensive new motor.

Dids you ask 'em or is that an assumption? If it were an error I would have thought they'd have fixed the error by now.

It is not an error, but, it is only valid with the purchase of a 2013 Victory. If you customize a 2012 with the Zumo it tacks on $1149.
