2004 Nomad

I have been holding off selling for awhile, but the bike can not sit doing nothing any longer so off it will go!

http://maine.craigslist.org/mcy/4629741207.html

The fairing does not not go with the bike at my price it is separate. Ill probly let the luggage rack and back rest go with the bike.. Been a great ride and meeting some of you has been a trip in itself.

That seems to be the average price on CL in the New England area.

You may have to keep that ad up for a while. I just noticed that you are about 3 hours and 45 minutes from the Boston area. That would take someone 7 hours to go look at the bike if they were coming from the Boston area. Probably 3 hours each way from southern NH and ME.

Yea 3/4 hrs is about right in travel. I would assume no one is going to travel that far but for a good deal some will :) I know I would. If I sell that would be great and if I don't that is fine as well. I doo not have to sell, but its a good idea for me :) WIll see what happens Thanks for the advice!

Keep the ad up through the leaf peeping season. A lot of people get north at that time of year.

Sorry you are selling. Hope health improves! Good luck with the sell of the bike. What would you want for the fairing?

Thanks Health should be better but with the nerve damage in my left leg I don't want to try and hold up the Nomad, But there may be a trike in the future :)

As for the Fairing it is a Reckless Gen 1 painted in 04 colors. I paid around 350$ + shipping un painted and 350$ to get it Painted, Shipping I believe because of size would be around 75$
SO I would guess 350$ / 400$ range if I could find a big box and shipping is below 75$. But IMO that would be a good price if your bike matched and you did not have to paint.
..

Hey Radco I have an '04 1500 with a couple differences from yours and wonder if that reckless will fit. First of all I have 8" straight risers under my stock handlebars and second I have installed running lights right on the stock turn signal bar making them very close to the headlight bezel, like almost touching (see pics). Do you have any thoughts whether these would cause fit issues? Also, does your fairing have speakers and do you have any pics of the backside showing the configuration?
Thanks.

Hi Thanks for the reply, Rasta has first dibs when I do sell FYI,,I am holding off in case I do sell and the new buyer wants it!Plus I am running a tad slow since surgery! No speaker or radio. but the outline for the cutouts are.. As for the risers I have the Gen 1 Reckless Fiberglass, Gen 2 and 3 were adjusted better to fit risers. SO 8" straight risers do not work on Gen 1 model not sure of others. My running lights are on the crash bars but think they would work on a Reckless, But 4" Harley off set risers work. Several members here do have the newer model so maybe post that question and you can get first hand info..

I am not sure if the fairing would fit with the set you have. I used to have the same set as you with the lightbar and this year I put on a fire and steel lightbar which I am sure will clear. This is just a heads-up to you whether you get this fairing or another one. The other thought is if you do put a fairing then you will have to lose the light set you have on at the moment. As for the risers, not sure if that works or not. I have the HD's on mine as well. You might have seen a thread on that not long a go.
