1999 Vulcan Drifter for sale

1999 Kawasaki Drifter 1500 cc, original owner, saddlebags, windshield, light bar, crashbar. Original color: brandywine with black frame, forks, bars etc. Four hydraulic valves (no valve tune-ups necessary) and two plugs per cylinder. Electronic fuel injection and ignition. Drive shaft. Air assist shock absorbers for a luxurious ride. Four shock damper positions which can be adjusted by hand (while riding!)give Cadillac to Porsche rebound rates. New stock Dunlop tires and battery. Running perfectly; 45+ mpg. Mobil 1 Synthetic oil.

Thats something Id definately considor having, especially If I could have more than one bike in the garage.
If it wasn't for our rediculous insurance rates here, I probably would have a couple bikes.

It looks pretty clean for its age and mileage, It would take a pile of accessories to get it to look the way Id like it to end up though. Id start by replacing the seat with a big solo version.

Your right Tim, I didn't see the mileage either, I guess I went by the clean look of the bike more than anything. For a 99 it appears to have been well cared for from the pics. I doubt yo could use a bike daily for all those years and not mark it up a little.

Most guys with Drifters don'r ride them alot.
I watch Ebay quite a bit and there are a bunch of low milage Drifters on there all the time.
Mine is an 01 and has 23,000 on it. I ride it to bike nights and on short 150 mile trips or less.

Thats what I figure too Tim, Some of the guys on Ebay seem to try to get a whole pile of cash for them thinking they have some rare collectible bike. I don't think its working out like that though.
The one on this thread seems to be priced reasonably for what it is. My favorite Drifter is the one that Chief has on the Delphi Drifter forum. Id love one like that.

That Drifter has about 80,000 miles on it. I have started to shop for a Drifter 1500 to add to the stable. I would prefer a 2002 with the Blood/Black paint scheme. If anyone knows of one.......

The red/black paint scheme is my favorite as well, If I ever seen a drifter like that at a good price that may be the deciding factor for me to pull the trigger. With lots of fringe on it as well.
