2008 Red/Black Nomad for sale $7,000

paddy, I got to say I am shocked that someone hasn't snapped your bike up!

I have and 07 with 36K on the clock and more than once I have thought "Ross, you should buy that thing and stick it in the Garage, then sell the 07 next spring for $7,000"

Come on folks, with the add ons his bike cost well over $14,000. You would be getting a loaded bike with basically one year of use for less that half price! People are paying $5-6,000 for 8 years old Nomads, it makes no sense!

I can't believe it hasn't sold with all the extras and at that price. Guess money is tight for a lot of people right now. Good luck on selling it. People are missing a great deal.

Sorry for the late response .... I have been in Minnasota on a fishing trip.

I left the bike at a dealer on consignment while I was gone. I did not hear from them while I was gone so I assume the bike did not sell. I'll know more tomarrow.

I have heard from some folks on here and will still honor the $7,000. I have watched several Nads sell on EBay for the high 7's and low 8's If it didn't sell last week, I will put it on EBay this week.

After ATVing in Minnasaota last week, I considered keeping it and adding a atv to the stable I would really like to have a Voyager thats the goal!

I've never sold a vehicle on eBay. It is worthwhile? Are there any hassles?

Doesn't Ebay collect a percentage of the sale where Craigslist doesn't?

I have not had any luck with craigslist either. OP sold his bike there in a couple weeks, but Sturgis was coming up. Who knows.

Ok sports fans here is the skinny. I had the Nad traded for a Harley Eltra Glide. The HD dealer was going to give me $7,000 real money for the bike. Some things changed and I have opted to stay with the Nad for now. My experience attempting to sell/trade has not been a good one. I did find out some facts that may help others thinking of selling or trading.

Wholesale for an 08 Nomad stock in the Midwest is $5,500

High retail is $6,500 stock.

Lone value ranges of course from one bank/credit union to another but the average is around $7,500 Kinda makes it hard to spend more money on the Nad. To add a tour pack and Mustang rear seat would be about $1000. I love the bike and enjoy riding it so I'll have to think long and hard over the winter on spending the bucks.

I accepted an offer on my bike. Wasn't what I would have liked to get, but WTF.

Don't know yet. We have to replace car #2. My wife wants an Audi. I am not sure I want or can afford that payment and a new BMW. I may look for a used one or put the money in the bank. I like the R1200RT and R1200GS Adventure, but they are 19+and 20+ respectively. The local dealer has 2009 of each, but I haven't talked to them seriously enough to see how far they will go down. I know I don't want a Voyager or new Nomad, and I don't want HD. For what a HD cost, you don't get much substance. The only other bike I might look at is a Gold Wing, but they are mighty big to go get milk etc. We'll see.

Hey Pat, if you are serious about a New Voyager there are several dealers in the south east with new 09's that are offering this deal

2009 Kawasaki Vulcan® 1700 Voyager®
$16,799.00
$12,998.00* Two-tone Candy Plasma Blue / Metalli...

SAVE $3,800 OFF LIST PRICE!!!

NEW KAWASAKI VN1700A9FA VOYAGER!!! GREAT TOURING BIKE!!! COMES WITH RADIO TOUR PACK, SADDLEBAGS, FULL FRONT FAIRING WITH RADIO!!

Stock Number: NEW

And I am betting you get them down even a little more. That is about what you would have to pay in difference if you were going to buy that Harley. Buy the Voyager and keep the Nad to ride for a change of pace. I am looking at New Wings as a better long distance tourer but I will keep my Nad for the daily rides and weekend stuff.

I wish I could do that Tom, but there can be only one. The GW is kind of big as an every day bike.
