Anyone using this camera, especially the GPS feature?

Read many good reviews, I'm just gonna buy it. Looking forward to the GPS functionality of this camera.

I have a Lumix camera I bought a few years ago to carry with me on the bike. They make very good cameras.

So, we received the camera from an online store and to test it we took a ride. The camera is very user-friendly, i.e. it has intelligent auto that does the "thinking" for you. I like the GPS feature the most though. After I uploaded the photos to my Mac, the iPhoto intelligently picked up the GPS data and pinned the locations on a map, quite accurately.

More testing is needed, so we need to take a longer ride.

Hey, here's an idea. Ride up with us to the rally in July .....that will give you a good opportunity to test it.

Ya I know and understand Elvis. I just wanted to keep pestering you in hopes you might call in sick or something and attend.
Have you ever rode up to the Caribou area of BC. i.e. 100 Mile House?
I'm going to be at my new home the month of July {except for the rally}
Maybe you'd like to drop in for a visit.

Rick, I can't recall, is it gonna be a "permanent" move?

This could be a reason to discover more of B.C. I've never been to north of Williams Lake (been to Prince Rupert by ship but that doesn't count) and I hear there are ranches up there and it's really beautiful there.

We sure will stop by when we are roaming the area.

Hi again E. Eventually it'll be a permanent move. I hope/plan to retire in the next year to year and a half. You must have been past 100 Mile House. My place is on the 108 Ranch, a large community 8 miles past 100 mile house obviously. I'll be 3/4 of an hour - 1 hr south of Williams Lake. Drop in if your up that way in July. Email me and I'll send you the address.

After a 5,600 mile trip and ~1500[?] photos, we get this map:
