Naomi huh...good luck...I used to date a Naomi...she ran a little hotter than most ...... ran best on the highest octane available ...... and was a little more noisy than most...... but I am sure yours won't be nearly as high maintenance

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Havnt been able to get around here lately as they have been working me to death. When not working,,BEEN RIDING !

I found the bike on cycletrader and it already had all the bling. Was from an individual and the guy lives 50 miles from me. He met me half way and I test rode it and fell in luv with it. It had 3600 miles. 4800 now ;).
I have been lurking around some tonite and have picked up alot of useful info. Man I'm glad to have found this site ! Thanks

Tim

Welcome aboard. Guess you already realize that when it comes
to aftermarket options, you can't have just one
Ride safe, you picked a great bike,
Dano

Welcome to the site kawiman. I can attest to the unbelievable helpfulness of everyone here. This may sound silly but I was considering switching to a new Gold Wind but after talking to everyone here I am sticking. I would hate to have to leave this group..... Dan

Howdy Kawiman. Nice bike, but we already knew that!
Are those stock bars with aftermarket risers?
How about the driver backrest? What brand is that?

Hey, cooler is getting low, so it's my turn to fill it. See ya around. Welcome!

Man I could really use a Bud Light while you are refilling there,,,Doh !! HERE IT IS nice n chilly ! Thanks !!!

The guy didnt say anything about the bars and I just figured stock. The seat is Mustang and as far as I know ,,the backrest was ordered with it. Wish I could tell ya more but all the "goodies" were already on the bike.

A week old and has 8 accesories (am I missing any?)Nice ride. I think I need a lightbar.
I've been wrestling with lights for the past two years...jsut about decided I need to get a lightbar also. The bullet lights I installed months ago shorted out on me on the Utah trip. While I was in Kanab, they blew my brake lights out, I had to open the light bucket and disconnect them.

The bullet lights work well, except on long trips, the wiring tends to short out. Back to the drawing board.

Hey Trip, I am curious why you think your lights shorted. The wiring should be the same no matter what kind of lights you have. Do you think it was the ground connecting/disconnecting during the ride??

I have had mine on for 400 mile rides and a total of around 2000 miles.....I did vary a little from your info and used the next size up c-clamp and used large rosin core solder wrapped around the entire light bar several times to ensure a solid ground no matter what between the clamp and the light bar. I suppose if the issue was the ground you could actually run a wire to the light case (inside) and run an actual common back to the frame or wiring harness somewhere.

Do you think it actually shorted or do you think the fuse got overloaded?? Do you think it was the lights or the wires in the H/L bucket???
