Duracell Ultra
Had to replace my battery today. Shopped around for a great battery for a fair price but I wasn't going to Pep Boys or Autozone.
Looked at the Scorpion Stinger LiFePo4 lithium ion battery but for $230.00, I passed. All the dealers had Yuasa batteries but the warranty is now only 6 months! Some people said that an extended warranty could be purchased but that only extended to 1 year. If I'm going to pay $100 plus for a battery they should stand behind it for at least a year! I had read a lot about the batteries from Batteries + and heard that their Xtreme Permaseal batteries were made in China and not very good. I noticed that they were advertising Duracell Ultra batteries on their website. http://www.batteriesplus.com/t-motor...batteries.aspx I didn't know Duracell made motorcycle batteries. I investigated. What I found convinced me to buy one. Duracell automotive and powersport batteries are made in USA by East Penn Manufacturing Co. out of Lyon Station, PA. and distributed by Ascent Battery Supply in Hartland, Wisconsin. American made. I like it! They also come with a 2 year full replacement warranty, better than pretty much everybody. The fact that I paid less than the foreign made Yuasa and got 4 times the warranty was just icing on the cake!

Was going to replace my battery when the time comes to do so with the OEM Yuasa brand that came with my bike. After reading your post not so sure. Like to buy USA when possible.

The Yuasa. Batteries are made in the usa. At least mine was. They are coming out with a new model that has impressive specs.

I stand corrected. Seems motorcycle batteries are the only ones they DO make in the states.

Bob. The Yuasa GYZ does look impressive but no info on the warranty. The reason I went with the Duracell was because of the 2 year full replacement warranty at a lower price.

I don't think the gyz is out yet. I've used Yuasa batteries for years never had a bad one or had a warranty issue. (Knock on wood)....

I went with a Battery Tender lithium battery. I WILL NEVER own any other kind of battery as long as they continue to make these. Prices have come down a lot on them

You have a point.
I once heard a union support or tell me how he buys American and supports the unions and everyone should do the same. Then he drove away in his Honda I have a picture of it. If I weren't on my I-Pad I would post it. Hilarious! He gets ticked when I bring it up, but I cannot resist. To the OP, sounds like a battery to check into when I need one.
