Mki mod0

well here is the MKI prototype, haven't thrown any paint on it yet, took it for a spin.... yes 21deg brrrrr... open air IS loud, not sure if I will stick with it, I'll have to ride it around a bit before I decide, if I do I'll either refine this one or spring for a manufactured kit.

I think the open air intake on Nomads sounds horrible.

By that comment I presume any aftermarket air intake on a 1700 is horrible ?

Mod 1 may be adapting to use the "dog bowl" and see if that's any different

It would appear that you are making what Chucksters sells.

I am just trying different options out till I decide whether this is right for me or not. A lot of folks say they don't like the new sounds associated with open intakes, and wind up ditching them costing between 165 to 250 bucks. I am trying things out, first with totally open next with my dog bowl, so far my investment is 35 bucks for the filter.
These guys make really nice kits, once I decide if this is right for me, I may pony up for something a bit prettier

I did not mind the extra intake noise from Chucksters intake.
