How's the weather

Hope you folks in Louisiana are fairing well with the storm. Let us know what's happening and if you need anything.

How's the weather

I know they have gotten a lot of rain and some heavy winds which has caused power outages.

Here in north Alabama we could get several inches of rain today and tomorrow.

How's the weather

I've dumped over 9" from the rain gauge since this started. We have a large feeder band that will drench us again today. Lots of branches in the yard to pick up but no damage....so far. We're doing OK, some in the lower lying areas south and southeast of us aren't doing as well. The south and southeast winds are pushing the tide up much above normal. Thanks Skeet.

How's the weather

Believe it or not, I'm sitting right on the edge of that tropical storm. I can look out my window and see the clouds off in the distance. Wind has picked up here because of it, but it's still sunshining and no rain.

Hope you guys make it through with no damage Mitch.

How's the weather

We were supposed to get torrential rain according to the weatherman, but so far just drizzle. About 20 miles north of me they get a lot of heavy rain last night.

How's the weather

Finally......Lee's forward speed is 8 mph to the NNE. It's beginning to move away from us. I didn't total our rainfall yet because it is still falling in squalls. I'm sure it is between 9" - 10" so far. No damage to our homes, just downed tree limbs. Hopefully by tomorrow, they can start flying offshore workers to the platforms to open up the wells to give us more natural gas feed into the plant. I spent a couple of hours there yesterday helping the shift supervisor put equipment on recycle and an hour again today. Holiday tomorrow, hope our weather is nice enough to get outside and do something productive.

How's the weather

We had over 8" of rain last night in Jackson. I live on a hill so it doesn't affect me.

Good to hear you folk are alright.

Mitch if you would, put a liner in the bed of a truck and come see me when it's full of water. We're bone dry.

How's the weather

Believe me Rob, we could have let you guys have 8 of the 11.08" I got at home. A little settlement named Gray, LA just 4 miles from my home got nearly 14". It all depended if you got hung up under one of the feeder bands for an extended period of time. Those that passed over us didn't last very long thus the lower rainfall total. All is well though, I didn't even get standing water in my yard. Our drainage here is pretty good.

Mitch.... your floating and we are on fire here. There has been 1,000 homes burned in the last few days. Send that moisture our way.
