It sure was Donnie. Loved the lunch stop at Neal's harbor also. Next year we'll get back there I hope.

Had mine out on the driveway today to do a little cleaning and although I saw 2 bikes out, There is still to much snow, sand and salt around for me.

We will have 2 more friends for the annual ride (I just made that up, ok Norm??) steamarc and blueraven...
My bike is still in storage. Saw a few today, my buddy had his HD out for a round the block thing, but that thing backfired something bad!!!
Went to a dealer for an air folter, came home with a piece of chrome...80% off a rear fender guard... Now I have to find the front one

Annual ride, Yup we can call it that. More chrome, I'll have to get darker sun glasses.

Where is the spring weather?

Grrr!, We have been losing our snow nicely and the weather has been good enough to see some bikes out. Now we have a heavy snow fall warning for tomorrow.

Where is the spring weather?

I was thinking about you guys when I heard the weather this morning - at least is should last. I remember when I lived in Quebec we had a major dump on April 4th. I was in Vancouver and my wife had to drive to Kitchener with the kids to meet me in Toronto as we were going on Vacation from there - needless to say I was not popular.

The only good thing is this too shall pass... :-/

I remember a very big snow storm here in Ontario (Belleville) in 1975 April 4. It was one of the biggest ones that late in the season. I remember it always as that is the day my grandfather fell on the ice and broke his hip and passed away :'(
So the potential for snow is still with us for a while yet. Be careful out there. Oh and if anyone reading this gets more then a dusting of white stuff, clean it off the sidewalk and driveway instead of letting it MELT on it's own!!! Seriously had a neighbour not do this and slipped on the ICE (as it refroze) and went down. First thing my mind went to was of my grandfather, so please be careful, but make sure paths are clear and ice free for yourself and any elderly that may have to travel the same path.

Scott

I remember that storm as well Scott. I was supposed to drop off my application for my flying lessons at Oshawa airport that day. I never did and never went back later either.

Where is the spring weather?

I Remember the storm in early march 1971, I think the 12th. paralyzed Montreal for 3 days. Cars abandoned everywhere, we were running around on major highways and interchanges rescuing people on snowmobiles. It was weird to drive along and just see bits of the cars showing and in many cases just antennas. They did a piece looking back 40 years on the news a few weeks back on it. they showed snowmobiles parked out side the Queen Elizabeth hotel and running around on down town St Cathrines street.

Bike is about 150 feet from the driveway...lawn is still a tad soft & it was clear of the snow....
Did some cleaning-She is ready to be fired up! Just waiting for the weather to co-operate.
I am sure looking forward to that first ride :)
Maybe we could start thinking about a “Half way run :) “
Did you say chrome....I got my sun glasses ready 4 U.
Cheers
