Hello from Central Pa
Hello everybody, I'm new to this forum, but not to bikes. I've been riding for over 15yrs on crotch rockets. I recently sold my 99 zx9r with a 2005 zx10r engine swap and I just purchased my first cruiser, a 99 Nomad 1500. I hope to learn lots from the info and people on this forum, and hopefully I can help others as well.

Welcome.
Here's some info for you...the 99 model year has a plastic oil gear (POG). If it hasn't been replaced with a steel gear, it will fail on you and can cause a very expensive repair. Unless you know the POG has been replaced, you need to inspect it and find out. Kawasaki covered the cost of the gear replacement for 10 years, but that ended 6 years ago. The Kaw factory manual is your friend. I suggest you get one.
