That's why I asked. I've had two different sets of v&h pipes on bikes and both seemed really well made.
Oh well, I still like the baggers. Probably what I'll wind up getting.

Mine broke after 8 years and it was a used system. When it arrived the rear pipe and muffler were sticking out of the box. the OP couldn't get them apart and neither could I. Then I added a trailer hitch, which uses the muffler hangar bolts and stressed the system. No big deal I can and do weld. So for a fact my system was not installed the way i told you How To. it was never 'settled' and I still can't get that stupid clamp off unless i work on it harder than I want, but there is no dammned bolt there any more.

I would bet most systems that crack are installed by tightening things in the wrong order and not 'Fitting the mufflers to the head pipes correctly. If my set up was I could slip the muffler off easy.

I could get this off but it would take heating with torches and that would wreck the chrome. I had another Nad before and that got new V&H and the mufflers were de burred and did fit correctly with No Clamp.

I just bought an 05 with the V&H. Love the sound. Heard an 07 with the Cobras and did not like it. For what its worth...
