Ultra Classic Lower Fairing fit on a Nomad

Hey Guys. I would like to know if any of you know how well Ultra Classic lower fairings fit on Nomad crash bars. I really like the look of this Bike that has them installed.
http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...tra-glide.html. I know there is a site posted on the forum that makes lowers for Nomads... but If I can find a better deal on Ultra lowers I'll go that route. If any of you have them on your bike I would like to know what you had to do (if anything) to make them fit .

No, they are not even close to fitting on a Nomad. I looked into it years ago and the height & width are way off. Premeux made some that fit the Vulcans, I have a set on my bike.

I am not aware of anyone who has mounted Harley Davidson lowers on a Nomad. If they would work, a lot of guys would have them.

This guy posted pics of what he did. But he had to mod them to make them fit. Guess more of a pain in the long run. http://www.rolfshemsida.se/hardbags.htm

JTD Cycle Parts make some hard lowers to fit the Nomad. There's a picture on that page of the series 1 version fitted to a 1600, and they come with the option of lockable storage compartments or speakers. The owner, John Montani, is a VROC member and his company is listed as a vendor on that site.

I have no experience with them myself, but have seen some very positive reviews.

Browse the website of the guy with the green V2K. He modified pretty much everything on the bike (widened the bags, modified the lowers to fit (and added fog lights), trunk, etc). He seems to be a genius when it comes to fiberglass.

Glad you brought this up. I've been looking for that guy site for a while.

I had a set of these on my 2001 and the fit perfectly and were of good quality. I used them with the speaker setup and they worked great. i have since removed them and went with the leather crashbar chaps. I like the look of the chaps verses the hard lowers. Also, the chaps offer a little better cold weather riding. JMO

Just added them to my 2006 nomad they look great but you will have to have 4 3/8 pipe cut 3 inches long, 4 bolts M10 fine thread min 4 inches long. You also have to redrill bottom mounting hole, and notch top a little to allow clearance.

I went to check the site out, looked at the ones for the 1700 Nomad, and then I saw the price...

What the heck??? Seriously, what the heck is that "adjusted price" all about? Jacking the price up by $70 right there for every potential customer to see seems like the best way to make it so most of those "potential" customers will end up looking somewhere else for what they want.
