I live in California. We don't signal for turns!

Unfortunately, the ultimate of all bikes DOES come with self cancelling turn signals. They're just as annoying as the ones on the Nomads.

I let my self-cancelling signals work as intended.

Bad reminder that I do not have self cancelling signals

Turn mine off manually, my last bike didn't have it. I usually press the cancel a few times just make sure they are not on, out of habit and after following another bike for about two miles with a blinker on. I tried signalling to them, but to no avail. I do not like that the cancel before I make my turn, I guess I signal soon. It says 65 feet travelled or above a certain speed.

Thumbs Up Turn Signals

I got in the habit of turning mine off manually with my previous bike since it didn't have the self canceling feature. My Nomad does and I do like it for those times when I forget to do so.

I'll do both. Shut them off manually and let them do it.

My problem is when I'm sitting in traffic at a long light, and they cancel themselves. I don't have a long enough thumb to keep the clutch in and hit the switch for a right turn.

Self Cancelling turn signals

I had a very experienced rider tell me he does not like having front turn signals on his bikes. He said he takes responsibility of what is ahead of him and that front turn signals can cause problems if you forget to turn them off.
