Rear Shox air pressure - what's best?

I read the manual on setting the rear shock pressure but it lacks detail. By the way, any 150 lb Nomad riders out there? ???

I think there were some past tips posted about using equalizer lines between the shocks - sounds like a good idea.

Any suggestions on the best kind of pump to go with?

At that price it seems like a good deal.

Rear Shox air pressure - what's best?

Rear shock air pressure is a matter of personal comfort...in other words...whatever feels right for you. When I ride two-up on long trips loaded with gear....I run about 34 psi. Running solo with no luggage I could run about 15 and have a nice cushy ride. They come from the factory with zero in them, so add what you think you need.

NEVER use anything but a hand pump (zero-loss from Progressive) and never add more than 43 psi or you will blow the seals!

riding solo I think I run around 14 - 20 and the dials are set at 2. I weigh 225. It is a little bouncy on big bumps but over all pretty comfy.

Rear Shox air pressure - what's best?

i JUST got the saddlebags off to try out the zero loss pump,,,,works well...easy enuff to say the dial looks "the same" for both sides....so, looks like 14 lbs....

BUT

what i discovered when i pulled the bags of was that the R shock was dialed in on 1, and the Left shock was dialed to 4 !!!!

No need to take the bags off to check the air pressure. I do take the seats off though.
#1, air pressure 10 psi, 220 lb rider. If I have a passenger, #4, 30 psi.
