New Nomad rider

I was at the local dealership yesterday to pick up some new clear glasses, (finally tired of the old scratched ones). When I arrived there a rider was sitting on his new 2008 black metallic Nomad and I just couldn't keep myself from going over to say hello. I talke to him a little about the bike and how he's going to love it and how he's probably going to want risers. Anyway he still had paperwork to do but I did also get a chance to tell him about this site as well as the gadget site.

He looked like a deer in headlights.

PS. I also talked to the sales person and had him log into this site so he could direct new Nomad owners this way.

Cool, good idea to give the dealer a headup on the site for new Nomad owners.

That was great flavor, and some dealers will pass along info like this site to new owners if they are aware of them

My dealer directed me to the New Owners Page (Gadgets). I met Trip and he told me of the site. I just checked and didn't see a link from Gadgets to here. Hmmm

Kewl job there Flavor!!! We'll have to call you Flavor Flave doing all that rapping!!! LOL! I ran into a fellow Nomader the other night at the Thirsty Parrot. (Local Ice House around here) and I've put the site name and info on the back of my business card. Not sure if he's bothered to hop on or not, but he sure seemed interested! I still want to get some KawaNow business cards printed out. Just haven't had any time!

Business cards are a great idea. Don't need a piece of paper or pen if you throw a card or 2 in your wallet. Maybe we could get a couple of thousand printed and put them on the accessory page for sale to it's members. If it was organized along with the other accessories I would spend a few bucks to get some to pass out.

What does everyone think about that?

I'd buy some! Also, I will send Duane (my dealer ;-) the site URL for any Nomads he sells.

I also think that the gadget site might be a good add-on, on the card.

I read on this site that Trip is having some cards designed as we speak.

flavor... good work ! Most dealers are totally ignorant of the internet and its value. Thanks for the extra effort !

About a year ago I started looking at the Nomad and the Road Star...this site, and a quick e-mail from Trip helped sway my opinion. I'm looking forward to meeting many of you--on the site and on the road (I only wish I could have met txcwDancer/Chuck when he passed through Coos Bay!). Rich
