Another good day

I found these 2 young scallywags broken down with overheating problems. The top radiator plug had blown a seal.I had some electrical tape, that i heated up with my fag lighter, and wrapped it around the thread. It worked good enough to get them 50 miles back home.

Hi Mick , we have wonderful sunny days here , but there are too many stupids and criminals who drive with their eyes on the phone, unfortunately it's getting more and more dangerous to go on a bike on our roads.

You proper bikers in the U.K have a pub every 500 yards which makes idiot drivers more plentiful.

That used to be the case mate, not any more. The drink driving law,and the smoking ban,has seen thousands of pubs close. Most of those that are left, have been turned into family friendly eating places, with screaming kids running around. The biggest danger today,is arsehole's using mobile phones while driving. That, and young mothers looking backwards at thier kids,as they argue with them while driving.I try to avoid being on the road when the kids school run is on.

My local in the U.K shut down. It was a big shock to walk there from my mums and find the pub boarded up. My grandad and my dad used to go there long before I ever set foot in the place. It was a place to go for a game of snooker, cards, and darts. No food, bags of crisps or peanuts was all that was on the menu.
There are 3 pubs within walking distance of my mums place that have closed in the last 5 years. Hardly surprising when a can of beer in the supermarket is less than a third of what it is in the pub.
It used to be years ago that beer was almost the same price in the off licence as it was in the pub, so everyone went to the pub to socialize.

Nowadays its 4 cans of beer from the supermarket and a takeaway and then go home and watch TV.

I rarely use pubs anymore.I cant stand being around noisey kids, and their equally noisey parents.I also like to have a smoke with my pint,so the weather has to be good enough to sit out in the garden.I have just moved to a small village with 3 pubs, and i dont use any of them.I do stop for a coffee,or a snack, while i am out riding. But i check to see if there are any kids about before i do.
