I just did the huffy bike cup holder mod, Walmart 10.99 and alittle careful reaming of bracket. Solid and no swivel. There is a small gap on bolt side of mounting bracket but when i installed the bold i used some loctite on it for good measure.

I took one off my Schwinn and used longer bolts with a couple of extra 1/4 inch drive sockets for chrome spacers and put it on the switch gear/ mirror clamp bolts. My stainless coffee mug from Wally World stays put, or a big gulp cup of ice.

How about this? I bolted a 4" black PVC end cap to a Bar clamp. Drilled a hole in the center for drainage. Added a 4" female adapter that had female threads on the other end. Sanded slightly for a loose/tight fit. ( used for taller drinks, And beer once. It was a long day to Sturgis.) I used it for many years (10 years) on my 1500 classic. Solid as a rock. Kept it on the throttle side so it did not implead my left hand to tune the stereo. Looking for pics now.

I got the Wally World bicycle cup holder, but the mounting clamp is way to small.
What did you use to enlarge it to one inch?

I did wally world, used pipe strapping with all holes throughout. Cut 2 length around bars and wrapped in elecrical tape. Very sturdy and cant notice tape either. I also drilled hole in bottom, if cell is low i pull usb charging cable in from bottom and into cell.
