Black reflective tape

Mine is black-as-black can be also. Don't recall where I got it but must be some brand differences. The backing on mine says: "3M Scotchtight(TM) PLUS / 680 Series Reflective Sheeting / With Controltrac (TM) Adhesive"

The 3M stuff stays just as black even on the bike, can't really tell its even there until direct beam light hits it in the dark or lower light levels. Sounds like maybe you got a knock-off or just a different product.

I had some of this stuff on my old helmet. I cut it to look like flames. You could not tell it was there in the day light. It was black on black. At night it was white. sorry, can't remember where I got it.

Black reflective tape

radco,
I got mine from the same place you got yours and it is black. Have it on my rear fender near the tip and lower part of the saddle bag. Can't see it unless you look for it until it reflects light. Maybe you got a bad lot or they sent you silver instead of black...Good luck..Joe

I wonder why that is. I'll bet nobody at the Western Rally saw my tape on the bike because even outside it is black.

I guess I got it when the getting was good?

I must have got the same batch as Dan. You can't see mine on my bike during daylight. Oh well.
