MSF RIDING COURSE QUESTION

it'll make a huge difference in hauling that big nomad around. Especially slow turning

MSF RIDING COURSE QUESTION

I've been riding since 1988 and have not taken any of the MSF courses. I'd kind of like to but have yet to get around to it. The time commitment is a huge problem.

And I don't have a Nomad yet but I'm working on it.

MSF RIDING COURSE QUESTION

I took it 2 years ago, which is when I finally manned-up and decided I was going to learn to ride. Best $200 I spent on this or any other bike! I also think it's a good refresher for experienced riders who might have developed some bad habits.

I HIGHLY recommend taking the MSF to anyone interested in learning to ride a motorcycle. Fundamentals are the key...

My $.02,
Daryl

MSF RIDING COURSE QUESTION

Started riding in 1965. All you had to do was ride 4 or 5 blocks to a side street and do some circles and some figure 8's.
I don't even know if they had the course back then. I have never had any instruction. Just got on and rode. If Cindy decides to get her own bike I will take the course with her. If she dosen't , I probably won't .

MSF RIDING COURSE QUESTION

topcat, I started riding in 1972. test requirement was 10 question / written and if you could ride it around the building...all set!!
When I took my first MSF course, after riding for over 25 years, I could not believe the things I learned.
It's well worth it. Especially for the safety of our passengers.

You had to throw that in there didn't you!
Now I am going to have to seriously think about and probably take the course. It's almost time to put the bike away for the winter :'( here in NY so I will check into it next spring.

MSF RIDING COURSE QUESTION

sorry Topcat...I didn't intentionally throw that at you but if it gets you to take the course...more power to you sir.
You won't regret it.
by the way......it was 32 degree's here in coastal NH when I mounted my bike this morning. One more month of riding for me.....if mother nature allows it.

MSF RIDING COURSE QUESTION

I took the MSF when I first got my Vulcan 750 in 2003. I live in MD, but took the test in Florida to get my license quicker. I only had to wait one week as apposed to 6 months. I enjoyed the course very much and I will be searching for a test to take on my 2001 Nomad. I had almost no experience riding motorcycles before the course, I think I road one day with a friend, and a few times in the parking lot.

MSF RIDING COURSE QUESTION

I also took the course. I am pondering the experienced riders course. The D*&N slow box was tricky. I would highly recommend it to everyone

MSF RIDING COURSE QUESTION

I've only had the experienced riders course. I took it back in 1999, and my thoughts at the time was that it was pretty basic. I had hoped for a higher level of learning.

I don't know if they still do it, but in 99 if you paid the Kawasaki owners group dues, then they would reimburse you the fee of the class. That's the route I went.

MSF RIDING COURSE QUESTION

I took it in 2004. As with most of us, it was the best money spent since I decided to hop on a bike!! My wife will be taking it in Jan.08 since she's thinking about getting a ride of her own (Vulcan 900 coincidentally).

Like the old saying goes... when you can't learn anything more, You're Dead!!

MSF RIDING COURSE QUESTION

Took the Basic abot 6 years ago - need to make time to take the Experienced.

I'm also considering giving my wife the Basic class for something to do - might take it with her. Want her to eventually pilot her own bike

I'm another one that Highly recommends the course - By far the best thing I ever did for my riding, and I'd "been riding all my life" and knew everything there was to know - my enlightenment came with the word "countersteer" I'd never thought about it, but just that simple education improved my skills 20%
