Cooler Helmets ?

Are there any brands / models that are well ventilated and don't keep you sweating all day?

On these hot days it can be hard to pull on a helmet made of nice thick insulating foam, so it gets easier ride without one. ::)

All we seem to find are the HJC and Z1R helmets at the dealers. We prefer the half helmets, so that might limit our options.

Just thinking there must be something better out there. -CB

The fact that you are sitting behind a slab of plexiglass limits the cooling ability of most helmets, there's no airflow.

I wear a full face helmet whenever I ride.
Yeah it is hot sometimes. I think the protection offsets the sweat.
That being said, I have a GMAX helmet and it vents pretty good. It is noisy though.

TC- I had a full face (spare) until I lost it last weekend. It was noisy like you said. Almost needed earplugs with it.

CJ- One thing I haven't done is to slide open the the vent panel at the bottom of the windshield - on my way to the garage now...
