You Really Can Lean With A Trailer!

I know I have read it in here already, but to actually see it was awesome! Friday we were out riding and hubby had the trailer on the Nomad for more practice towing. When we came to a circle he told me he was going to see if he could still scrape a floorboard with the trailer attached......he sure could!!!!!!

I took my first ride this past weekend with my new trailer and your spouse is right. It is pretty amazing how almost no manuverablility is lost while towing a trailer.

Other than a bit slower acceleration and longer braking distance, pulling a trailer is pretty much the same as riding without one. The extra lights in the rear as well as sides makes the combination somewhat easier to see.

Yeah, he wants to add another light near the top of the trailer. He also discover the "regular" chain hooks that came with the trailer don't work so well. Every time he hit a bump the chains would come off!!!! When we got home he quickly added "C hooks" to the chain.
(I hope I am remembering the correct name for those clips....LOL!)

Cool picture, but leaning way over on those big arrows scares the hell out of me :)

I think the hitch allows 25 degrees, and the Nomad drags the boards at 22. For hooks I used chain link that has a nut which threads back on the loops itself. He should cross the chains so the tongue can't fall to the ground.

That is a really cool picture.. Looks like you have some nice riding roads out there too. I do miss real pavement.. They have that damned cement here...

My original chains were doing the same....unhooking for no reason. After wearing one in two from it dragging the pave, I purchased another set with the spring stop on the hooks. I can't see your picture at the moment but they may be "Carabiners".
