Powdercoated crash bars on vaquero

I just got my crash bars / engine guards back from the powder coaters today. I took one of my passenger peg brackets off and gave it to the powdercoater to use to match the color. He had to custom mix the powder since the vaqueros frame and forks are not a true black, they actually have a hint of grey to them. I personaly think he did a awesome job of matching the colors, my front and rear crash bars now match the frame, forks and engine accents. I think its a nice contrast to the gloss black of the paintjob. I attached a pic below.

A guy in town did his bars gloss black on his black Vaq. It does look sharp! It's on my list of winter projects for sure

first off, thanks guys for the feedback / responses.
jestephens...that was a big issue for me, allot of thought went into whether I should do gloss black or try to match the color of frame / forks. I can't tell you how much time I spent staring at it trying to picture both colors in my head. obviously I ended up decided on the matte finish matching frame / forks. I'm very happy with the outcome. On a all black vaquero I might of leaned the other way, actually thiing about it I don't know, the matte might look good on a all black also?

I love the look. I am considering going all matte black over the winter... Do you know the powder company and color? It seems to be a great match.

Well done!

thanks ZZ...sorry but i don't know the powder company and even if I did it was a color he had to mix because the vaqueros frame and forks are not a true black, they have a greyish tint to them. he said he would have to mix some silver with the black and do test pieces to get it right. I think he nailed it.

I've also thought about doing the KQR mounts on my bike. I think I would probably do those gloss black since their higher up on the bike away from the frame and all the other matte black finishes. I've never really looked at the saddlebags closely, is it easy to get the handles off?

post a pic of yours if you don't mind
