Half Chaps

Does anyone here own any half chaps? I would like to get some feedback on good/bad points. Thanks

My brother-in-law wears them once in a while when he is out riding his horses on government land in Arizona. Other than that... I know of no one that wears these.

Cajun, Cactus There were 14 different styles on that web site. As to what to call them...leg protectors, gaiters, chapettes, half chaps? They look much more comfortable than full chaps.

There were other distractions in the pictures. I guess that's why I didn't notice the chaps.

bad point.....They seem a little pricey for what they are.

good point.....They will perform as expected, protecting the lower leg areas.

I prefer my leather pants.

the half chaps that i have were made by chilhowee leather.they
are an excellent company and i have also purchased my tank bra
and engine gaurd chaps from them.they use good quality 6 0z.
leather and have many optional features.they can be reached at

Just remember with half chaps you are less than half protected sliding down that road shoulder.
