New Yamaha Tourer

The new Yamaha Star Venture.
Air cooled 1854cc fuel injected V Twin, 6 speed, belt drive.

963 lbs wet and $32,000 in Canada plus freight, PDI and taxes. Yikes.

The Victory Cross Country seems like it was a bargain now, and look what happened to them.

Wow nice ride. Makes my 16 voyager at 13k seem like the deal of the century.

Similar specs to a Voyager but with traction control and navigation, but 50% more to buy is not a recipe for success IMO.
What was Yamaha thinking !

This bike was probably in the works years before Victory was discontinued.
When Victory went under the guys at Yamaha probably knew that the new Venture was doomed. Pricing it at $32,000 (in Canada) was the nail in the coffin.

Keep in mind. The MSRP isn't necessarily what they sell for in real life either. Time will tell the true tale.

They are going to have to discount the price for sure. $32,000 isn't going to sell many.

WTF .. Air cooled?? No Air Flows In Traffic. Glad I have a Vaquero. It maybe discontinued but at least it is current with the times.

They sell Harleys in Canada, don't they? I'd guess the touring models cost as much or more than this Yammy Just saying, price isn't the only factor.

A new Harley Ultra is approximately the same price in Canada as the new Yamaha Venture, but the Yamaha will depreciate a lot faster.

This new bike is air / oil cooled but that doesn't help rider comfort as those of us who have ridden the liquid cooled Voyager can attest to. Liquid cooling just helps the engine in traffic situations.

I do like how it has the fairing mounted mirrors. I like them further away from me like I had on my Voyager XII.

I don't think many are going to sell for MSRP. Only Harley haters and those who have to have some type of reverse.

Harley has the best dealer network when travelling not that I have ever needed help while on a trip, and the one time the Voyager left me stranded a Honda dealer fixed it and Kawasaki reimbursed me.

31999 CAD is just under 24000 USD. Doesn't seem so bad.

Not getting a new bike anytime soon. Maybe the price will have dropped some when I do.

This appears to be a fully dressed Stratoliner with 6 speed. The Stratoliner is a good bike. One of my neighbor riding buddies has had 2 of them. Loves them.

I've ridden one a couple of times. Good power, handling and COG.
