It was a beautiful day to ride! The river really doesn't look that bad on the Mississippi side but if you ride over the bridge it spreads out pretty far. The levy still has several feet before it goes over it.

We're ready and waiting for it Bobby. The crest is moving at a snail's pace. I'm looking forward to getting this behind us so we can move on.

Certainly hope the damage isn't terribly bad. I know the farmers are losing lots of money. I am sure lots of people will lose their home to the flood waters.

Just heard on the news that they have reduced the speed limit on Hwy 190 from 60 mph to 45 mph, Lottie to Krotz Springs , due to wildlife crossing the road escaping the high water. As you approach the Basin on I-10, there is a sign warning travelers to be alert for wildlife crossing the Interstate. They are telling the locals to feel free to shoot wild hogs. Everything else is off limits.

If they didn't include stipulations, they're going to have a pile of coonasses shooting hogs from the highways. Probably at night. How would I know that???
