Backup Lodging for Antlers Rally

The base motel is full so we have backup lodging set up @

Sportsman Inn and Suites
1201 E. Main Street
Antlers, OK 74523
580-298-3387

When you call tell them you are with the Vulcan Baggers Association and they will give you the same deal as the base motel $45 a night no tax. Lets see if we can fill them up to

tryed to call the sportsman inn for reservations for two hours today before some lady finally answered.unfortunately i could not understand what she
was saying,something about you guys need to ?????????????.i didn't get
a very warm and fuzzy feeling about the place.so what's up with that?i
would gladly drive the 1000 miles for some of that deer chili but only if
i can feel comfortable that i have somewhere decent to sleep it off afterwards.

I am very sorry you received a response like that, I will give them a call tomorrow to see what the problem is. We have another hotel in town that is more upscale and the rates are higher, they wont give us a discount, but you are welcome to give them a call. It would be great if you could make it. What weekend is Antlers Rally anyway. I would love to come join the fun. I haven't found the flier or rally info yet. Let me know ASAP so I can get registered if its possible.

The rally dates are Oct 4, 5 and 6. Most of us will show up the afternoon of Oct 3.

Thanks for the info. I will have to check the dates against school. I have classes to teach during the week. Don't know how to attend rallys that begin in middle of week. Oh well, I will give it a shot and hopefully I can make it work.

I stayed at it last year. Once may have been enough for me. We'll see. It reminded me of a place up in your area, The Bunkhouse in Guernsey. Only this place wasn't as nice.

I'm thinking about trying the other place this year, especially since the wife will be along. Again, we'll have to wait and see.

Hopefully it has improved since your visit, it is now under new ownership and they have been making all kinds of improvements. The room they showed us was nice, but it is still an older motel just like the Budgett Inn and the 1 room we saw was comparable. But then again we saw only 1 room, I will keep everyone posted if anyone cancels and any rooms open up at the base motel. The Hiway inn is nice, it is only a couple years old and there rates reflect that, and they will not cut us a break.

Nice to hear. I'll probably stay there then.

Does this mean that the "entertainment" there has been cancelled? Last year it was the couple of gentlemen yelling and screaming (in spanish) at each other out by the empty pool.

LOL Well I hope so the new owners act like they want to make it a decent establishment. And hopefully all the rooms are or will be as nice as the 1 they showed us. And if you show up there and it is not what you want, there is always the Hiway Inn
