Extra lights

I just finished installing a pair of H3 35W halogen lights from www.martinfabrication.com

I wanted to be a little more visible up front and too cheap to buy a light bar.

Cost on this setup was 140.00 prepaid which is quite a value when compared to other alternative lights like Kuryakyn silver bullets. No saying these are better, but I think they are a better value.

Whats in the box:

Pair of H3 35W Halogen lights with one spare bulb.

Wiring harness with relay, 15amp in-line fuse, and waterproof switch.

Fender mounting tab.

Three different sized spacers and bolts

Mounted the relay and fuse under the right side cover using coolant reservoir bolt.

Ran the wiring along the frame backbone.
Mounted the switch under the triple tree, behind the chrome upper fork covers.
Remove front fender bolt, loosen rear front fender bolt. Put fender mounting tab between fork and fender fastener.
Installed the lights using the smallest spacer, ran the wiring along the brake line and covered with black plastic.

This is the end result

Those are pretty sweet. They look like PIAA lights, which are more than double the price. I may look at a set of these if my "el cheapo" Optronics lights ever need replacing.

I like those. I may have to re-think my setup.

Thanks for finding more things I can spend money on!

Im sure you will notice a big difference with those lights. They put out a lot of light for a physically small package.

Hey DK, can you give us a shot from the side to see how the lights actually mount? If I bought a set of these, I'd want to put them on my crash bars. I'm trying to see how that might work.

Can I trade you wives? Mine always says "Now what do you want?" and "How much is that gonna cost?"

J/K she knows I only get important stuff. I know better than to ask for fun stuff. I am surprised she was ok with my ipod mount.

Hey cactusjack, if you mount them on your engine guard they might be behind your lowers.

These would be replacing a set I already have on my engine guard. Won't be a problem, as long as I can find a way to make them work.
