FYI 2008 Nomad for sale

This is not mine, but found it when looking up Nomads on Kijiji

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ262353749

Maybe slightly high price? but with 1200 km's on it, seems to be a good deal. It's a dealer listing just north end of Toronto, ON.

Don't know any other details just posting it here for FYI for any lurkers or forum members in Ontario area who maybe interested.

Like the Red/Blk colour combo, nice looking bike for someone.

Anyone on here buys it, post a note to let us know!!!!

I saw that too. I would BET that they took them off as were aftermarket and sold them. They do say will come with factory exhaust or you can have them put on another set from what the ad says. It's a dealer, so I imagine there is a warranty available too and maybe still able to get the Extended warranty from Kawasaki?

This is the last year for those bags too, which are my favorite. I like this colour combo to. When I got my 02 they had sold out that colour. I'm happy with mine, but this was the first choice to be honest. If I was in the market for a new one this would be on the list.

It appears the guy is bringing in vehicles from the U.S. Two of his bikes have California plates on them.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. They get them a LOT cheaper in the US and sell them here cheaper then other dealers selling Canadian models. At the bike show in January I saw a couple of Cory Ness Victory Vegas and Hammer bikes used from US for a LOT cheaper then could buy one from the dealers here for!!!

I bet you could negotiate that price down as well, especially if the NEW ones are still on showroom floors. There only advantage is the year (last of those) and the colour.

Now you being in Ontario as well ? know that an 8 Ball new is around 18+G's. Well a year old US import was selling (less than 5K on it) for below 11. Big savings, and it had extra's on it as well.

Another reason some dealers are going belly up here, but they've done it to themselves in many cases by not being competitive.

Back in the 90's guys were sending container loads of used bikes from Ontario to the U.K.
I think the market got saturated and they started selling new bikes cheaper in the U.K as a result.

I remember that. Many bike shops had used bikes for ridiculous prices and said well if we don't sell them we'll ship them overseas and they DID!!!!!
Also a few years ago lots of wrecks were getting sold and shipped overseas as there was a huge demand for Gold wings, HD's all the big cruisers. Also some countries couldn't get anything bigger then 500CC so they brought them over, rebuilt them.

I tried to buy some parts from a Yamaha Royal Star that was at Zedino's a few years ago and NOPE, sold and shipping it to Ukraine!!
Same thing happened many years ago with some N American cars too.
Good or bad, the market will find a way to LEVEL the field if Government doesn't get involved!!!!

That is the same bike, colour and year that I have. I got mine for $10,000 (cdn bike) with 3,000 km on it at the time and that was the fall of '09. The bike is priced high but I do like the colour :-)

Good looking bike but would be expensive here in the US. Bet this guy is going to make a killing.

Since it is a dealer, they may have it priced a bit high and then hope someone with a trade in buys it? Or they may want to start on the high side and work down, testing the market? As it's not riding season YET, they have time to test the waters and see what interest there is.

Looking at it, someone is going to get a nice bike in either case.
