That ain't why.....
Why is you have to be old enough to recall the world being flat, then that CT will work anywhere. I am surprised you would ride it a year and then go back. I like my SP 5000 and want a another one. It's a great match for the Avon Cobra up front.

Maybe it was a bad car tire choice... I had the Gmax by General (Continental)...
I lasted a year bc I stayed away from the interstate... lol |

Don't know. I found the Dunlop Sp 5000 a great improvement over the brick. My 01 1500 had bricks of course and then got German Metzlers and I didn't really like them all thjat much.
The 1600 with the Sp 5000 got a Dunlop 251F radial on ft and was ok, I had the idea as good as it gets but i was wrong. The SP 5000 matched to the Avon Cobra is very good. And the SP 5000 is almost down to the wear bars, and will need to be replaced in Fall or before next year. The 06 is no 7 years old and has almost 30,000 miles. So far the only stock item that broke has been the horn. But I have always done the basics oils fluids and grease. This season has been labor intense so far, but all wear and tear items.

When I first put on the tire I didn't like the way it rode rough and all over the place but once I dropped the pressure it rides great. Love my CT.
