LOL nope not 4'6" although my buddy who is buying my bike is close. (not really but it's fun to call him vertically challenged)
So windshield is a must. What are the thoughts on a power commander? I did demo the bike last year at Daytona bike week but really don't remember the power aspect of that ride. Ipod cable is a must for me. That will be on bike when I pick it up. I am going to Daytona bike week this year to test ride one again. When they did it last year they gave everyone a voucher that was either $250 or $500 off the purchase of a new bike if bought within a certain time frame. Since I go to bike week anyway its a no brainer to swing by and grab one to save a bit more money. Still trying to decide if I want the new green one (don't care for blue but it is a pretty bike) or do I want my local dealer to try and find a 2011 red one. Birthday is end of April so need to decide in time to get one ordered up to deliver before then. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

First thing I did was change windscreen to a custom one from Cee Bailey's that was just right for me, then next went with Cobra Tri-Oval SlipOns, then a Thunder Tornado Air Kit and a Power Commander V. Found these items nearly a must have for my Vaquero because of the way I like to ride.
Did a lot of other add-ons as you can see from my signature line.

Ok. First, I only have one job. I was trying to make a point. Haven't had a second job in a while. Second, it doesn't matter whether I have 1 job or 40, I'm not contributing to unemployment. If it's wrong to want to get ahead in life, so be it. I'm not hurting anyone else. Or did you want my second job?

Vaquero saddlebag rub
Here is what i hope is a helpful suggestion. My left bag was slightly rubbing the fender skirt. (about a nickle size area). My dealer told me that was a common issue with vaqueros so much so that kawasaki sent out a tech tip on the easy fix. I have attached the tip with pics. My dealer was great. He fixed and sent me the tip.
A couple of notes: I would use double sided tape instead of glue. A lot less mess and easy to take off. With the 5/8 inch heater hose, reinstallation can be a pain in the butt. I'm thinking if it is too much trouble to take off and on, i may experiment with a small strip of 3mm wetsuit material instead of the hose. CHeck your bags and i hope this helps. |

There's a lot of good info in this thread, but several different topics. There is a portion of this forum for Vaquero specific help topics and suggestions.
http://www.vulcanbagger.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=21 Just a suggestion. I think much of this would fit better there. ??? At least worth a look if you haven't been there. -Jay |

It's no big deal. I just wanted to make sure you were aware.
I'm no fan of the police either. Let's not get that rumor started. |
