You are correct. Still, I have a room booked at the motel (sharing with Crochammer). A much better idea in my mind than making the trek back home at night after a few "soda pops".

Really looking forward to meeting all the group and making new rider friends.

That is great...I assumed that to be the situation and I am looking forward to sipping those soda pops with you.

I was just poking a bit of fun at Kris because he suggested you meet up with Rickyboy on the ride to the rally.

Looking forward to it. It is supposed to be 60 degrees and no rain on Super Bowl weekend around here, I hope the weatherman is not teasing us.

We'll be leaving the valley at 4:00 am to "beat the heat". It shouldn't be much more than 100* at that time in the morning. The price we pay for awesome winters.

I have updated the Rally Info page to include group ride information. After getting some additional insight from Leadbelly....I have made some changes to our second group ride...

I just wanted to let you all know that it looks like my "other" log ride I had planned for July may have fallen through. So I may try to attend the Canmore Rally. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but I have started the process of obtaining a passport.

It looks like 1600 miles to Canmore from home, so it may be a 4-day trip to get there, although I might be able to do it in 3.

I'm just starting to see if this is doable for me, so let me put some more thought into it.

Hope it works out for you Scott. Looking at a map it looks like your quickest route will be well East of Couer D'Alene Idaho. But if you want to add a few miles to join us I will have a small group (3-4) that will be staying in CDA Sunday night before the rally. We will be in Canmore Monday night. Safe travels.

Thanks Schoeney. I don't have unlimited time, so I am probably going to have to hit the slab and haul ass to the border. I'm thinking US 89 N through AZ to Panguitch UT, then UT-20 W to I-15 N. I-15 will take me through Great Falls MT to the border. It may end up being too many miles and too little time available. I still have to crunch some numbers to see if I can make it work.

Geez Scott...with your other long ride....maybe we were getting our hopes up you WEREN'T going to be there..... LOL....you know I am just kidding....

That would be very awesome indeed..... I'm sorry to hear things might not work out for your other ride as I know you had put a lot of thought into that as well. I know Kanab is not a long run for you, so this would be a nice long haul. Google Maps may say 1600 miles...but it also says you can do that in one day and three hours, so whats the prob...?

Keep us posted....and if you can get BD to tag along.....I just might not have to bring any cigars! I'm pretty sure we won't smoke'em all in Kanab.... I'm a little concerned those crazy Canucks might drink us under the table though...so you better bring your "A" game....!
