RIP Don

Here is a picture my wife took when we stopped in Springfield for the night on our way to Eureka Springs for the VBA/VRA joint rally. Don met us in his hometown and we went out for dinner. Next day he took us 3/4s of the way to Eureka springs. Off course he didn't take the shortest way but the scenic way which was 4 or 5 hours longer

Rest In Peace brother

I haven't been on here long and did not know him but I am sad to hear of his passing. He obviously had a lot of friends, that says a lot to me. Prayers for all his family and many friends.

I rode with Don and his brother a time or two.
When you did you better be ready to ride.
He covered some ground and did it at a pretty good pace.

I road with Don and David quite a few times at Mountain View. Like you said "you better be ready to ride". I remember Don saying "I don't speed I just don't slow down in the corners"

Don't know why this tragic story has hit me like it has. I didn't know Don but I am continuing to pray for peace and comfort for his family. MDs are not gods, HE made us and HE alone can fix us. Ride on Don.

This has been a tragic reminder of just how dangerous what we do can be. It is a result that we all know can happen but hope and pray that it never does. With the lack of driver courtesy and everything that grabs for the drivers attention it's amazing that stories like this don't happen more frequently. When it does it brings these thoughts close to the surface. I know riding has made me a better driver as I am constantly giving room to those on bikes.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Myers family during this tragic time.
