Day trip to Kingston??

Hey Guys,
I just got back in town. As a mater of fact I was up in the Kingston area for the last 4-5 days. Wolfe Island sounds like a good plan. I've only seen the wind generators from the water, they are huge. I did a little re-con work on Sunday looking for a good place to meet. several places with terraces on Ontario street, facing the park and confederation basin marina, but Ontario St from Clarence St to Princess is closed to traffic due to construction. That doesn't mean we can't go to one, but between that and the parking ( pay and display on the side streets and a few lots a block or so away ) it is unlikely we could all park together.
I did pick out a place by the water in Gananouque as an alternative, but Wolfe island sounds better. There is a Tim's pretty much beside the ferry terminal just east on Ontario street which is really hwy 2 at that point. Maybe we could meet there, cause if we get sitting on a terrace, we won't have time for Wolfe island.
I know there is a bakery and the Wolfe island inn, but what else is out there food wise, I'm not sure.

Works for me. We may all have to adjust our meeting times depending on how long we want to spend on Wolfe Island if that's what we decide.

Sly no need to race. Starting out a bit earlier and meeting a bit earlier, say 11.30 in Kingston should give us time to all ride together for a little while and get a bite to eat before heading back. It is 2 1/2 hrs or so to Kingston from my house on the 401 @ 120kmh, no stops. I do that run quite often but we are not going to do that. We can stay off the 401 a lot of the way only getting on it to avoid slow spots in some of the towns.

ok fine, a brother of mine was there for a few years but it's been a while since I driven there. Give me a call next week and we will do the final set ups....

I'll most likely go straight down the 401 since its about a three hour trip for me, unless im feeling ambitious that morning and take hwy 7 east for a lot of the way.

Day trip to Kingston??

Is the date now the 19th or 20th? I can't make it the 19th, my wife volunteered me to help her friend move. I would love to join in, but not sure I can get away with it being father's day, but then again it might be the best father's day present :-)
