Vests and sunscreen are both good ideas. I'm going to check out that neck wrap thing that Scott posted. The biggest problem area I have when it gets hot is sweaty butt and surrounding area ...... Any good cures for that???

Really Dave? OTOH I've heard and used over the years that Gold Bond lightly sprinkled in the affected area does well. Lightly is the operative word..

You obviously didn't check the Monday through Friday forecast for the week of the rally!

I wore these last year riding to SoCal from the rally in triple digits and with using the Airhawk(It allows the to air flow) it worked fairly well.
It looks like I might need them again this year.

I have a set of beads that I use to get a little air between me and the seat. Also tried a pair of LD Comfort shorts. (expensive) Wasn't real impressed with them though.

I have a room reserved in Missoula and will make the rest of the ride over Lolo Pass on Sunday morning.
My 10th grade social studies teacher was from Darby. Might not seem like much, but it's a long ways from Long Island.

Some say a beadrider. http://www.beadrider.com or this http://ldcomfort.com

But I see you've tried both. Oh well. The only other thing I've heard about is this: http://kontourseat.com
