Mr. Wilson....I have always wondered how far in advance the manufacturer has a new design in place, tested, and ready to go?

I am thinking 2 years? Got any idea?
P.S. My sister in law has here eye on the new yellow Spyder RT. Personally Iike the orange RTS better. Local dealer just got 4 of the orange ones.

These guys say that the Harley 103 Project Rushmore engine pulls better than the Vic 106.
Although, now that it's water cooled, old-school Harley guys might be put out by this engine, and who knows what kind of new problems this redesign will encounter mechanically.

The HD had the "smoothest shifting clutch??". That right there tells me a lot about the reviewer. Sounds like Greg talking!!

They gave a good review for the Vic also, and commented on it as having the best handling. They shot the Kawasaki down. Honestly, if I was going to pay close to 20 grand for a bike, I would not buy the Kawasaki. Don't get me wrong, I love my Nomad, but if I had that kind of cash I would save a few more pennies and be looking at Harley and Victory. I'm not sold on the looks of the Vic though. The pic of Gibby's Bike looks better than they do in person. Just my opinion.

Yeah, I would have gone with something else for $20k. I got my Vaquero new OTD for $14700. Big difference. Actually I was looking at a F6B first, but I really didn't want to spend the $.

I'm guessing now that Polaris has Indian, some of that technology will spill over to the Victory side. I'd like to see Victory do an engine swap to something more aesthetically pleasing. I know they run, handle and perform well but I just don't like the looks of them. Even though I love my Nomad, I think Kawasaki really dropped the ball when they quit making the 1600 style bike. The 1700's just don't turn my crank. I really hope there is something that comes along by 2016, whether it be a Victory, Indian or HD that could be my next bike. But for now I'm sticking with the Nomad.

Virtually all of the top Designers and Engineers were plucked from Victory to design and engineer the new Indians. I do know that Scott Wine (Polaris CEO) has stated that it is now time to devout $ to the Victory lineup. We'll see. I am hoping for a Chieftain Tour and an updated Vision with more storage in 2015. Personally, I like the different look of the Victory mill and hope they do not change it, other than more cubes and HP.

Bob - Nice looking bike. I have to resist the temptation to buy a new one.

I like the looks of the Vaquero, but I'm not big on frame mounted fairings.

Tricia is a bigger fan than me. She had a t-shirt after winning the NFC Championship. You'll probably take more grief from her in Orofino than me...!
