Now the news is reporting 6 cops were riding with the group and that 2 of them watched the beating and did nothing.

As I was riding across Texas/New Mexico today, I was listening to the Fox News Channel on XM and they were discussing this. It seems the lawyer for the guy who broke tne windows said his client "overreacted", but he "wasn't involved". Go figure.

The old Plausible Deniability excuse. It's worked in the past.

I am typically a big supporter of LEO's as my brother is a retired LEO. But I don't see how anyone can support these guys. Just goes to show you that there are a few idiots in every profession.

I'm thinking Gloria Allred jumped the gun and hooked up with the wrong "side" in this one. She should have got the SUV driver. The city has deeper pocket.

I think most cities are self insured and you can only sue for so much if at all.

Most cities have stop-gap insurance that kicks in above a certain amount be it $100K, $1M or more. Below the stop gap they pay. As far as limiting claims I think only the Feds and State Govt. can do that.

As far as G. Alred goes she's worse than an ambulance chaser.

Ask Ron Kuby. I think he represented Abner Louima, who got 10 million years ago, may be 10-15 years ago. NYC's pockets are deep and they will pay.
