I never said that. In fact the whole quote is "I do a 21 mile commute in those temps and a little warmer, wouldn't want to do 6 hours." This implies 113˚F that he spoke of here: OK, 2 days and 1300 miles east puts me in Clovis NM. Yesterday I saw (and documented) 127 degrees in Death Valley, and above 113 for 6 hours.

I still wouldn't want to ride in it that long.

Started on home from St. George, Utah this morning, 86 miles down the road the rear tire BLEW OUT! If I had any hair it would have been standing on end. Got tire replaced and will try again in the morning.

My rear tire was a worry for me before leaving for Tahoe as it only had a little life left. It needs replaced for sure now, but I got over 14k on the Dunlop E3...!!
