Had a great 35 mile round trip ride today. Weather was great.

Finally put the new battery in. Started it up and decided to run around for a few minutes. Only15 miles but it feels great for the first ride of the year.

Left the house with brother in law told him to lead 80 miles later I had done a DOUBLE Dragon that is from Tabcat bridge to Deals Gap and Return to Tabcat bridge. They have a great BBQ sandwich at Deals Gap with sweet potato fries and coke $6.67 not bad. Bike ran great business on Dragon was starting to pick up for the week end. The ride from Deals Gap down to Tabcat Bridge seems easier the the other way so Rick and the rest of you NO PROBLEM we will ride speed limit 30mph and cruise right along.

Two more trips to work at the end of the week; 87°F on the way home today. Got a pleasure ride planned for tomorrow (Sat.) Ride Safe.

Took two short rides today for a total of 10 miles. Rode up to Albertville and back down to Boaz. Beautiful weather and temp around 80.

Finally got to take the new Nomad on a long (for me) ride yesterday, a little over 200 miles. I love the bike but was surprised at how much the fan runs. It was about 75F and I was in an area with a lot of red lights spaced about 2 miles apart, I was getting up to 35 or 40 between lights and every time I stopped I could hear the fan running. I'm just wondering if this is normal for a new 1700? I was also wondering if anyone has put a Power Commander V on a 1700 but with the stock intake and exhaust, and if so, did it help with the heat?

Reading about Jared and Ron's hi-miler trips makes my hundred miles today seem insignifigant. Dear baby daughter wanted to go for a ride so we had an IHOP brunch with Mom and then loaded up and headed for Brazos Bend State Park. Gorgeous weather. Azaleas and other flowering foliage were in bloom, mild temps, clear skies and time spent with Sarah made it a great day.

My son and I and the better halves rode out to Breaux Bridge, LA to lunch at "Crawfish Town USA" restaurant. We also did some antique shopping in Breaux Bridge. Even got my riding boots shined by an old fashioned shoe shine guy. Clear and sunny with comfortable riding temperatures. Had a great time spending quality time with part of the family.

Road several roads I had not been down in the Hill Country today. Stopped in at the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls TX for a steak and a piece of pie. Off through Llano and down to Kerrville, then to Hunt, then Vanderpool, Medina, Boerne and home. 367 miles in wind, rain, sun and clouds. It was a good day.

Sounds like some of you had some great rides today. Glad you were able to do that. Me I had one small ride today. Mowed the lawn and did some cleaning in the carport. By the time I finished there really wasn't any time for a long ride.

I took a 282 mile ride through eastern Louisiana and western Mississippi.Good friends,good food but my butt and I are not on speaking terms anymore.Departure temp was 63 and it was 84 when I got home.

I did ride but only five miles or less. Had plans for a longer ride but once I got in the house I just stayed inside.
