2010 Rally July 9, 10, 11th
Ha!! Apparently not. 3 inches of snow yesterday... an additional 3-5 expected here yet by the weekend... and that damned ground-hog saw his shadow!!!!
I am going to try to take a test-drive early May up to Wisconsin... so that is still 8-weeks away yet... maybe you can hook-up to take that early ride with me. The winter days seem to drag on and on at this point.

2010 Rally July 9, 10, 11th
14 days from today we will be on the road to PDC. The last several weeks have gone by so fast now it seems like time has come to a halt. Will start gathering items that are needed for the trip next wk. Checking the list making sure nothing is forgotten. Looking forward to making new friends & having a grand time.

Rally time is getting closer. Have the new bike broke in and looking forward to my first short trip on it. Have to be back in Minnesota on the 10th so will be leaving PDC on the morning of the 9th about the time the first ride departs. On the positive side did get to ride part of where you will be riding on my way to Madison.Wi. But that was a few years ago.Better than not going at all I guess. Ripper

2010 Rally July 9, 10, 11th
Been out of the loop lately between a long business trip and a hard-drive crash. Just got the computer back this evening so I am catching-up a bit.
Ripper... if you are leaving early on the 9th... why are you even coming down?... not that you aren't welcome, because you certainly are... but that means you'll only be there for the evening of the 8th. Just wondering if I understood you correctly or not. Either way, we'll look forward to seeing you there! To others coming... I look forward to seeing all of you there. Hope the crazy weather we have been having around this area clears-up for the rally. I think everyone will enjoy the area's riding. PM me if any have any questions. Between Dave, Ray, and me -- we'll get an answer to you. Ride safe and often! Greg

On Friday morning we are going to make the "main-loop" ride the first ride because it is an easier route to take, it has beautiful scenery, it will give everyone a "lay of the land"; and that route will be the safest route for everyone to get used to riding together in a group. Anyway... think about it. :)

That sounds like a plan GL. I can break off when the group goes south on the way back to PDC.

GL - You mentioned the Main Loop ride on Friday, that must be trip 1 up the river, right? Looks like I'll be coming down river Friday afternoon and will look for the group in Prairie.
Trip 1 route map isn't opening on my computer. Any estimate about what time the dinner bell might ring on Friday? I wouldn't want to miss out on food.

Cal...
The "Loop" ride actually doesn't take all that long if one were not to stop and travel at a good rate of speed. With a group though; we will be stopping along the way at a couple spots, and will not be traveling at "break-neck" speed... so it is tough for me to estimate the total round-trip time. If we depart at 9AM Friday; we'll more than likely make it back down to MacGregor for lunch sometime around 1PM (or maybe slightly earlier than that). After that there is a very short ride (5-minutes) down to Pikes Peak State Park -- something everyone will want to stop at for the view. After that, I figured we would see who might want to ride some more and for how long... because there are a couple rides we could do for the late afternoon. It was decided to do it that way since it was the first-day. Saturday's ride is a long one (all-day) for those that are up for it. And Sunday was left open for discussion for those that are able to stick around for that day. Hope this helps. I replied to your PM. Greg

Sounds good GL - I'll plan to be in PDC before 5:00.
Will be camping at a private campground along the river just a mile north of town.
