I'm in! Reservation has been made. I will be there Sunday, June 14 and leave on Friday, June 19. It's only 1600 miles to there, so, I may do a two day ride to get there. I guess I'm getting old.

9 for sure. Potentially 15 and 7 months to sign up more! Looks like we'll beat the 2013 National in Estes Park rally dinner!

1600 miles in two days.....damn. Old or not, you make me feel like a big pussy (shut up Brad)....! I was just looking at the mileage from my place....850 to 1050 depending on the route. While that is a solid day trip for Gene, traveling solo that is a two day run for me. However, with the wife aboard, I was thinking more like three days. She likes to be able to actually see the roses as we smell them. Maintenance stops are a bit more frequent as well, so no real reason for me to be in a hurry when traveling two-up...!

I agree with you, traveling with a passenger is a whole different thing.

Isn't that the truth! You guys may end up with a bigger turnout than there will be VBA members at the combined National!

Our trip is between 1100 and 1200 miles depending upon which route we take. Solo that would be 2 days but with Krystal along it's more likely 3 days. And yes, she said she "Is Riding". Question is which route do I take. Pop up to I-80 and get there in 1100+ miles or take i-70 and connect on US 50 in Utah for close to 1200 miles.

He wouldn't be able to follow the trail of breadcrumbs he left on the way to Tahoe.

watermans route ?...I-70 is more scenic...the switch-over from I-70 to Hiway 50 is a bit of tricky routing ..for 40-50 miles (but scenic)...and that route avoids riding through Salt Lake City..

jus sayin... (Keep'her full of fuel either way)..
