MSF Training

Hey welcome Joker!

Thinking about the MSF course I took....I think the Nomad helped me get a better score than maybe I deserved. I got a 95 out of 100 (deduct is 5pts for each less than perfect maneuver).

Let's face it...Nomads look heavy and massive but they are well balanced and handle well, even at slow speeds.

I think the instructors take the size of bike into consideration when evaluating...they probably thought it was more difficult for me to do figure 8's than some bikes that looked lighter but maybe weren't as well balanced. Just another benefit to owning a Nomad.

Thanks for the "welcome" guys.
I heard that down in southern NJ they also have an HD school you can go to. You learn to ride on Buells. Supposedly the setup is simillar to MSF and you take the road test at the end. The cost is minimal, whereas I paid close to $200 when I took MSF. Always good to have alternatives.

HD's Riders edge course is the same thing as MSF course, except they really push you on buying HD.
You learn to ride on Buell Blast 500cc bikes.

Took the beginner course in November and got my endorsement a week later. I know they were small bikes but I really gained a lot of confidence and can't wait to jump on my 800 lb monster next week!

It's hard to believe but the riding season is coming up fast ( not fast enough). I want to strongly suggest that we all should consider taking the MSF intermediate course first thing in the season. It definitely gets the cob webs off and having someone look at your riding skills may have some great suggestions to riding safely. It's only one day and you ride the entire time. No classroom.
