Gather up as much 223 you can Scott. It's readily available now at decent prices but I've heard that it's going to get tight and expensive again. Bom bom and friends are working tirelessly on this. Nice rifle!

Those are great rifles. Great for rock chucks. Have fun with it and happy Birthday Scott.

I may go against my longtime policy of going to stores on black Friday and buy up some .223 rounds.

Just buy it online and have it shipped to the house, its a lot easier that way.

It's a bolt action. How much do you think he'll shoot?

My dad had a 222 Savage when I grew up. I inherited it from him along with reloading equipment. It only had a 4 power scope but that rifle killed a lot of groundhogs in its day. Very accurate and fun to shoot. You will enjoy the 223 bolt action.

I just did that. Cabela's is offering free shipping, including ammunition. I ordered 100 55 grain target rounds and 60 Winchester 64 grain Super-X. Now I don't have to fight the unwashed hordes on black Friday.

Here in the great police state of NY, when the emperors law goes into effect, if we order ammo on line we have to have it shipped to an FFL dealer then we have to go there to pick it up and have a back ground check done.

It's all got to do with what he's after, or what or how many is after him I reckon.

I'd stock up now, or buy it out of state.

Depending on what you are up against, gun fights don't last long. Most people would be dead before they got through a 20 round clip, so all that ammo will go to the post life experience facilitator. Discretion is the better part of valor.
