Okay, I am going to let the cat out of the bag. My Nomad came from the dealer in Idaho Falls. That is the only one I care about anyway. Well, you know what I mean.

Funny things happening in Cyberspace methinks!

I looked up my VIN for my 2005 Nomad and it said that it is a Model Year 2006. The Decode says
it's a 2006 Kawasaki VN1600. Am now wondering how my title came to read 2005. I bought it
used and the last owner said it was an '05. It seems like the VIN would tell the facts. Am
wondering if I should have this changed at the BMV. Would appreciate any comments.

I think he meant the individual components are shipped from Japan to the US and then assembled and crated for shipping to US dealers. They can't ship completely assembled bikes, so some assembly is still required at the dealer.

They come from Japan in a crate, the dealer gets to do the final assembly.
