Seriously, the roads around here are in horrendous condition. (We didn't see much of the road-improvement stimulus money around here. Too Republican of an area. )

I did see a guy on a custom chopper tonight though while coming home. It was 47 degrees and all he had were light gloves, hat, and a hoody. I noticed he kept rubbing his hands on the pipes to warm them up. ;) He looked cool though!! Blue lips and all!!
Well, it's supposed to only be 52 by you. That's plenty warm enough for me, but I guess the black beast will have to wait awhile.

The "Black Beast" is resting gently... until warmer weather. :)

Hey Greg, how could you pass up an invitation from Rayski? You two could stop along the way & get warm. ;)

Ponch- Heated grips on the bike would just give me an excuse to ride when my brain is telling me it is to cold to ride.

This morning I installed the V&H Duals so had to try them out. It warmed up to about 47 degrees and the roads were clear. By the time I got back home, traveled 68 miles. Was getting cold by the time I saw the Gowrie water tower. All worked fine, including my new rear c/t.

The V&H's sound good, but are a might loud, but I've read that I can get some longer (and quieter) baffles to put in them. BnG

Rayski... Bluekaw... far tooooooo cold out. Only 35 today here.

I have at least another 15 degrees to go.

Although, if I would have ridden today... I would have only had to stop two or three times to cool-off from the engine heat!

Actually, it's an asset.

BNG- I have the same system, I wanted to remove the baffles but my spouse, (melody) kept saying no I listened. Back in November I decided to remove them we took a ride a her reply was " Do not put the baffles back in". I like the sound myself but to each his own.

It was 71 hear yesterday rode to the local dealer & around town. The sun felt great. Put in fresh tank of fuel.

Ponch- I will ride with temps as low as 25 with no wind, rain ice or snow.

GLW- My question is it you that says it is to cold or the HD, sorry just had to make a poke.

Still not warm enough for me today yet.

In the 30's with rain turning to snow and sleet overnight.

Even on the warmer days around here, the roads were a mess with melting snow, salt, and some of the biggest pot-holes I have seen in years.

Not conducive to fun or safe riding to me yet -- but we're getting there!

I did some modifications to my V&H's by welding some baffles inside the stock baffles. It made the sound a bit deeper and with less pop and crackle. In other words, the sound may have been reduced a bit, and it is not as sharp sounding. I've got to wait for a nice day to go try them out.
