I used Blowndodge's instructions on my 2003 1500 FI and it worked. Other than a bitch of a time wiggling the baffles out after they where cut (they were rusted in pretty well) I didn't have any problems.

Baffelectomy complete!! Sounds much better. Not too loud but a deeper rumbling tone. Cut both out with a Dewalt 18v drill. No problem pulling the silencers out. Just a 1/4 turn and out they came. I'm happy with the economical mod. It cost me a total of $42 at Home Depot for the dowel, Rigid 1 1/4" metal hole saw and arbor, grinder stone for drill, cuttiing oil, and can of flat black high heat paint. I can easily heliarc the silencers back in if any kind of warranty issue comes up. Thanks guys. ;)
