I just pulled them out a little. Only one cable was stretched as far as it could go, but that was with the bars at the perfect angle.

Thanks, I can add to the wires if necessary.

Sounds good...
I'd like to know how it works out for you. I'm not sure why it worked for me and not for others, but as long as there's a way to make it work, I'm good with that. Honestly, if I would have had to order or extend any wires, i would have been sitting there with the deer in the headlights look. i don't know a thing about extending brake and clutch cables or even where to go to disconnect them to install new ones. Wires, that's easy...

I ordered 6" over stock on clutch and top brake hose. Call Galfer USA.
805-988-2900.Ask for Mark Crookston. They know the stock lengths so just tell them how much over you want. Looks like your bars may be taller than mine. http://tinyurl.com/pvvpc4y These are mine.

I got all the Galfer hoses in and I'm going to put them in and install the new bars as soon as it cools down. I can't take the heat right now. Damn meds.

What Highway Pegs are those on your bike? I just got my Nomad last friday so I don't know what other riders are using for modifications yet but I do know my 28 or 29" inseam legs won't reach Highway Pegs mounted to the engine guards unless they had the Longhorn Offsets and I'm not sure how those would look. thanks, Hoppy

What I'm using is actually a plate that mounts on the bottom of the foot board. My legs are a tab bit longer than yours so I understand not being able to use the ones that mount on the hwy bar without it looking crazy. I don't know where to get them because they came with the bike, but I will find out and let you know... I love them and use them almost everyday, even on short rides... The location is very comfortable...

I have to be honest, I have always loved the look of the 1 1/4" bars, just never thought it would look right on our bikes. I've always thought the 1" was perfect... Now I'm convinced that it looks great!!! I want some now!!

I have these same bars mounted on my 01 and love them. Great investment.
